 F. Byron Parker, Jr. attended college at the Virginia Military Institute and graduated in 1965 with a Bachelors degree in History. He earned his law degree from the University of Richmond in 1968 and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970.
He was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in June, 1968 and is licensed to practice in the State of Virginia. He is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Virginia Supreme Court.
He began his legal career with the law firm of Parker & Lane and has been a Partner of several firms during his 40 years of practice. He is currently a founder and partner of Parker & McMakin Law Group in Richmond, Virginia. He practices in the areas of real estate settlements, estate planning and settlements, business law and domestic relations. He has also worked for publically traded mutual funds handling corporate work for the funds.
A member of the Virginia State Bar, he has also served as president of the Henrico County Bar Association.
He was born in Richmond, Virginia and currently lives in Urbanna, Virginia with his wife, Linda Parker. He has 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
He is faithfully involved in work for his church and works to advance the goals of VMI and University of Richmond Law School. He has a special interest in baseball and college basketball.
